THE SMURFS (Les Schtroumpfs) - Belgium

The Smurfs (originally Les Schtroumpfs in French) are a fictional group of small blue creatures who live in the woods. The Belgian cartoonist Peyo introduced Smurfs to the world in a series of comic strips, making their first appearance in a Belgian comic magazine in 1958.
